My name is Jason Mukasa. I’m a service designer and certified PMP with a background in design, business and social innovation across five African and European countries.
Originally from Uganda, I moved to Barcelona to pursue a Master’s in Design and Innovation at IED Barcelona. I aimed to broaden my opportunities in innovation and deepen my understanding of how design can be used as a strategic tool for decision-making.
Over the last four years, I have worked across industries and geographies to support startups, international organisations and social impact projects to tackle complex business and social challenges. My experience includes design leadership and strategic consulting in sectors like creative business, air quality data, women's health, patient education and urban planning. I also bring a perspective from the venture capital space where I work closely with early-stage startups and investors.
My approach centres on research and collaboration to identify system gaps, understand individual needs, and leverage global innovation trends to develop business models, operations frameworks and growth strategies.
